*guest post – THE VINTAGE MIX – by Kelly Ekardt

I have always been a fan of vintage ever since I can remember. I just loved browsing the racks at vintage shops or antique booths growing up and coming up with crazy outfits. Well, to be honest, this hasn’t changed, to this day I find enjoyment searching for crazy finds for myself and now for my little one. There is a big focus on reusability nowadays and this is my way of recycling. Vintage doesn’t have to be out-dated or smelly. There are beautiful well-preserved garments, sometimes you just have to look. I love mixing vintage with new seasonal pieces. I have complied some great vintage finds with some very cool new pieces. Enjoy!

*guest post – Vintage blues… – by Nomita from Ebabee blog

{ I was delighted when Ana asked me to do a guest post on her blog. Not only do I love her creations, especially her adorable soft toys, but I also love her colour sense and the way she manages to combine bold colours so effortlessly. }

I love a vintage theme for a kids room so I wanted to share finds from some of my favourite vintage stores. Vintage means unique and that’s what I love most about it as no two rooms will ever be the same. I’ve gone for a colour scheme in calming blue tones which I think works really well for both boys and girls. With a vintage theme you can choose a clean look by having a few key pieces dotted around a white room or you can go the whole hog and cover one wall or even the entire room in vintage wallpaper. Personally, I like the whole hog route!

*guest post – A garganta dói, a boca idem e engolir parece impossível! – by Bebé Gourmet

Ainda assim vamos comer!

*******

Still let’s eat! The ideal is to opt for food too pasty or minced, which falls easily. Mashed potatoes, pasta and cooked ground beef, scrambled eggs, pureed vegetables with a good oil to water everything can be a good option. To drink, you can try milk and fruit juices full of vitamin and why not combine the two and make a tasty natural smoothie? Be careful in this case with acidic fruits that irritate the mouth, like pineapple and orange. Should also stay away from hard and harsh foods. And no hot things that irritate the mucosa, prefer room temperature. If it’s still hard to swallow, a good tip: place your child’s head forward in time to swallow. And for dessert, how about a fruit puree, banana mousse or fresh natural peach? It is natural fruit transformed into delicious creams that do not need to be cold at the time of consumption, full of vitamin, exactly as you want.

*guest post – BIO FOOD vs. CONVENTIONAL FOODS – by Bebé Gourmet

*******

Organic foods are characterized by the absence of fertilizers, pesticides, antibiotics, hormones and other harmful chemicals, because of the high cost of the market, by the unattractive aspect but impressive nutritional value and authentic taste.
There is a marked difference in taste when compared, for example, two equal fruits, where one is (possibly ugly but with unsurpassed flavor and high in nutritional value) and the other conventional (pretty but flavorless and almost worthless).
Opting for biological as first nutrition to your child’s brings immeasurable benefits. The digestive and immune system of your baby are highly vulnerable, overwhelming them with toxic chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers and other poisons may compromise the current and even future health of your offspring.
And if you think well, children up to one year of age eat a lot of fruits, vegetables and dairy products (that in proportion is greater than the consumption of adults), with a weaker immune system and an absorption in its maximum capacity, the introduction of toxic in the body of the baby can be complicated.

*guest post – SPRING TREND GUIDE – by Kelly Ekardt

- I’m very excited to introduce you to a lovely lady that you will see from now on here at my blog as a guest blogger – please meet Kelly Ekardt from Girls Talk to Boys.

{ My name is Kelly Ekardt and I write a blog called girlstalktoboys. I live in London but I am originally from Springfield, Missouri, USA. I have been living in London for almost five years now. Before I came to London I studied Fashion Design and was a stylist. Since living in London I have had a beautiful baby girl, now almost 1 year now! I co-founded an online shop called I Dream Elephants back in 2009 and was with the company until January of this year. I have since sold my part in the business to focus on life long ambitions! I have such a passion for children’s fashion! I get so excited just thinking about it! I also love music, art, photography, and interiors! }

Now that the weather has finally turned for the better with the sun shining and the temperature rising, I think it’s time to start thinking about the little one’s Spring Wardrobe. With such a great selection out there at the moment and it’s really hard to narrow it down to certain pieces. If I could I would buy everything but unfortunately that’s not the case for most of us. So I have put together a Spring Trend Board to make it a bit easier. It was extremely hard for me to narrow it down to this, but I thought I complied a great selection for Spring.

There are several trends out there now: Stripes, Prints, Fringe, and many more from great brands such as Mini Rodini, Bobo Choses, Noe and Zoe, etc. I hope you enjoy my Spring Selection.
